Original Post Hunting on

From My Pictures
There are some amasing images on Pinterest, but sadly, often, a total lack of information as to how and where they were acquired.  This can pose problems as linking to a copyrighted image without the original owners permission could lead to problems.  One piece of information that I found really helpfull came via a lady to whome I shall remain eternally gratefull called Charmaine Zoe or The Graphics Fairy.

As this article explains, you can upload an image to Google which will then, in many cases, search and then identify the original source.  Once found you can then properly credit the owner and Bob's your uncle, job done - er no!  As you will find out if you read this blog

there are people out there who claim to own an image and actually don't.
For instance - take this one

Simply entitled "Stained Glass".  So in order to find out more I save to my P.C. and upload to Google, who then tell me the best guess is Alfons Mucha.  It is very like this image

which was a lithograph by Alfons Mucha but he never produced it in stained glass. Further research leads me to the aforementioned image on Flickr.com entitled  "stained glass painting by Jim M. Berberich in the style of Alfons Mucha" at

Further in and further up we find:-

Entitled "Face and hands painted by Jim Berberich - Stained Glass created by Bogenrief Studios"

And so our mystery is solved.
The picture is stained glass, in the style of Alfons Mucha,
by Bogenrief Studios,
with hands and face painted by Jim Berberich.

Summer for Bogenrief Studios.
Beautiful, and well worth the effort don't you think!!
